About these terms
These terms explain how you may use TradeContract, our web application for creating, sharing, and managing building contracts with AI assistance. By using the service, you agree to these terms and any policies referenced here.
Who can use the service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. If you use TradeContract on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
What TradeContract does
TradeContract helps tradespeople draft and manage contracts, notices, and reports. You can chat with the system to prepare contract wording, upload or attach documents, generate PDFs, and share links with clients to review and accept contracts.
Your content and permissions
You keep ownership of the content you provide, including project details, messages, files, and contract text. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display your content so we can provide the service, including generating documents and sharing them with people you authorise.
AI features
The service uses AI to help draft content. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate, and it is not legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all documents before sending or signing them.
Sharing and acceptance links
If you create a share or invite link, anyone with that link may access the related contract or invitation. You are responsible for where you share links and for ensuring they are sent to the right recipients.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. This includes attempting to access other users' data, interfering with system performance, submitting unlawful or harmful content, or using the service in ways that breach applicable laws and regulations.
Intellectual property
TradeContract, including its software, branding, and design, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or branding without permission.
Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation. We appreciate your input and may use it to improve the service.
Service availability and changes
We aim to keep TradeContract available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or withdraw parts of the service at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we need to protect the service or other users.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
